You can't tell what a font looks like — or whether it has Korean — until you install it. This page previews TTF, OTF, WOFF, WOFF2, and TTC fonts in the browser without installing, and shows the name, version, glyph count, and Korean coverage alongside.
How to use it
- 1Click 'Choose TTF files' or drop a font folder onto the page. The grid shows an 'Aa 가나' thumbnail set in each font.
- 2Click a font to see Korean, Latin, numeral, and symbol samples at 72, 40, 24, and 16 px, and type your own text in the box.
- 3Print the samples with 🖨 to compare several fonts on paper.
What it shows
An in-house parser reads the name table for name, version, and designer, maxp for the glyph count, and cmap for Korean coverage (가). Samples are drawn by registering the font with the FontFace API for this screen only — it disappears when the tab closes and is never installed. TTC collections show their first font.
Files are read inside the browser only and never sent anywhere. Close the tab and nothing remains.
Limits
Fonts without Korean draw the Korean line in a fallback font, flagged with a badge. Variable fonts show a single default axis setting. Files lacking an OS/2 table (some Apple system fonts) are rejected by the browser and won't open. Color emoji fonts may appear monochrome.
Good for
Picking usable fonts from a folder you received, checking whether a web font (WOFF2) includes Korean, and reviewing font files used in a design mockup.
Frequently asked questions
Does it install the font?+
No. It's used only on this screen and gone when the tab closes. To install, add the file through your OS font settings.
Can I see the other fonts in a TTC?+
Only the first is shown. The rest of the collection (e.g. Bold) can't be selected separately yet.
The font name looks odd.+
Files whose name table has no English entry show the name in that other language; files with no name table show the file name.
