The invite.ics from a meeting email or a .ics exported from another calendar can only be seen by importing it into a calendar app, and once imported the events are mixed in and awkward to undo. This page lists the events inside an ICS file in start order so you can review before importing.
How to use it
- 1Click 'Choose ICS files' or drop a file onto the page. Several files at once are fine.
- 2Events are listed in start order — title, date and time (date only for all-day events), location, organizer and attendees, description, and a Repeats badge.
- 3Print the list with 🖨 or save as PDF. Decide whether to import after checking.
What it shows
VEVENTs from the iCalendar (RFC 5545) file are read by an in-house parser. Line folding is undone, DATE (all-day) and DATE-TIME (Z means UTC) are told apart, and TZID is shown alongside for reference. Recurring events (RRULE) get a Repeats badge. Files exported from Google, Outlook, and Apple Calendar share the same structure.
Files are read inside the browser only and never sent anywhere. Close the tab and nothing remains.
Limits
Recurring events appear once — the recurrence rule isn't expanded into individual occurrences. No time-zone conversion: times with a TZID are shown as-is in that zone. To-dos (VTODO), alarms (VALARM), and RSVP responses aren't shown. There's no import into a calendar.
Good for
Checking what an emailed .ics invitation is before importing, skimming academic or event schedule files, and finding an event in an old calendar backup.
Frequently asked questions
How do I add it to my calendar?+
This page is for checking. To import, open the file in Google Calendar's Import, Outlook, or Apple Calendar.
The times are off by a few hours.+
Times with a TZID are shown in that zone and not converted to your browser's zone. Read the zone label shown next to the time.
It's a weekly event but only one shows.+
Recurrence is shown as a badge only; occurrences aren't expanded. Importing into a calendar app applies the recurrence.
