Joining images of different widths
When stacking images of different widths, the alignment option matters: Start aligns left, Centre centres, End aligns right, and the leftover space is filled with the background colour. White suits screenshot stacks; transparent stays transparent in PNG and WebP.
A little spacing separates each image; zero makes them read as one continuous picture.
Result size and format
Images are joined at full size, so the result can be large. Five 4000-pixel photos side by side make a 20,000-pixel-wide image that some apps refuse to open; shrink them first with the Resize tool if so.
Use PNG for screenshots with text, JPG for photos, and WebP for the web.
