Bands and range
Ten octave-spaced bands from 32Hz to 16kHz, each adjustable from -12dB (cut) to +12dB (boost). Low bands shape bass and rumble, mid bands the voice, and high bands clarity and sibilance.
Picking an output format
Lossless WAV is the default. Pick MP3 (192kbps) or M4A when size matters, or FLAC to stay lossless at a smaller size. MP3 and M4A are lossy in theory, but the difference is hard to hear in everyday listening.

Every pair of earphones and speakers sounds different. If bass feels thin, try Bass boost; if things sound muffled, nudge the highs until it fits your gear.
Polish voice recordings
For lectures, meetings, and podcasts, cutting low rumble and lifting the voice range (1-4kHz) makes speech carry better. Start from the Clear voice preset.

What exactly is an equalizer (EQ)?+
A tool that splits sound into frequency ranges, from low to high, and lets you raise or lower each one. Where volume changes everything at once, EQ adjusts just the bass, or just the voice range.
Is it free? Any limits?+
Free, no account needed. Because processing happens in browser memory, files are capped at 50MB and 30 minutes — split longer files with Audio Cut first.
How many bands, and how far do they go?+
Ten octave-spaced bands from 32Hz to 16kHz, each adjustable from -12dB to +12dB. The outermost bands are shelf filters, so the deepest lows and highest highs are covered naturally.
Is my file uploaded to a server?+
No. Both preview and render happen inside your browser, so the file never leaves your device.
Will the saved result differ from the preview?+
Preview and render go through the same filter chain, so what you heard is what gets saved.
Can it remove background noise?+
EQ isn't a dedicated noise remover, so there are limits. Noise concentrated in the low end — room rumble, hum — can be tamed noticeably by pulling those bands down, but noise that overlaps the voice range can't be separated with EQ alone.
Does it support parametric EQ?+
No — this is a fixed 10-band graphic EQ. Choosing your own center frequency and width (Q) isn't supported, though 10 bands cover most everyday adjustments.
What files can I use?+
Most audio your browser can decode: MP3, M4A, WAV, OGG, FLAC, and more. If a file won't open, convert it to MP3 or WAV with Audio Converter first.
Can it save straight to MP3?+
Yes — pick MP3 under Save as next to Render and it saves directly as MP3 (192kbps). M4A, FLAC, and WAV are available too.
Can boosting cause distortion?+
Boosting several bands hard can clip (distort) the audio. If that happens, lower other bands by the same amount or ease off the boost.
