When it comes in handy
Employment contracts and NDAs sent while working remotely, school consent forms, or real-estate paperwork that comes with 'please sign and return'. You skip printing, signing by hand, and scanning again.
Uploading a company stamp image to apply to quotes and invoices is another common use.
Getting a clean signature
Drawing with a finger or stylus on a touch device looks more natural than a mouse. If a mouse is all you have, the Signature Maker and Stamp Maker tools can generate a PNG from your name to upload instead.
If you photograph a signature on paper, run it through Background Removal so the white paper becomes transparent and the signature sits cleanly on the document.
On validity and security
This tool stamps a signature image onto the document; it is not a certificate-based digital signature. Whether an image signature is accepted depends on the other party and the document type, so check first for important contracts.
Locking the signed PDF with the Protect tool before sending reduces the risk of changes in transit.
