When it comes in handy
Put your shop name on product photos for marketplaces so other sellers cannot reuse them as-is, or mark blog and portfolio images with their source.
It is also a common way to label proofs and drafts, such as photos from a shoot or design mock-ups, with a large semi-transparent notice before they are approved.
Text or logo, and where to put it
Text watermarks suit short strings like a business name, a person's name, or a URL, and a Korean-capable font is included so nothing breaks. For a logo, a PNG with a transparent background blends best with the photo.
A small mark in the bottom-right corner looks tidy but is easy to crop out. If the goal is to deter copying, a tiled pattern across the whole image or a large diagonal mark is more effective. Since that covers more of the photo, lower the opacity to about 20–40% to keep the balance.
The output
JPG, PNG, and WebP are saved in their original format. JPG is re-encoded on save with a little loss, so keep the originals separately.
With several images of different sizes, the watermark is placed at the same relative position and scale on each. Results can be downloaded together as a ZIP.
