Receive a PSD on a PC without Photoshop and you can't even see what's in it. This page reads the composite image stored inside PSD and PSB files and shows it. You can't edit layers, but it's plenty for checking a design, choosing between versions, and flipping through a folder.
How to use it
- 1Click 'Choose PSD files' or drop a folder of designs onto the page.
- 2Skim the grid and click one to zoom in. Compare versions with ← →.
- 3To get JPEG or PNG, use Image Convert from the related tools; to shrink only, use Image Resize.
What it shows
The composite image inside PSD and PSB (the flattened picture Photoshop saves alongside layers when 'Maximize Compatibility' is on) is read with ag-psd and drawn as PNG. Transparent backgrounds stay transparent, and PSB files over 2 GB share the same structure so they read too.
Files are read inside the browser only and never sent anywhere. Close the tab and nothing remains.
Limits
Layers, masks, and adjustment layers aren't shown and can't be edited. A PSD saved with 'Maximize Compatibility' off has no composite image and shows a notice instead (re-save from Photoshop to fix). CMYK documents are approximated in RGB, so colors can differ slightly.
Good for
Checking a designer's file on a PC or phone without Photoshop, picking the right file out of an old PSD folder, and a last look at files before sending them to print.
Frequently asked questions
Can I see individual layers?+
No — only the flattened result. For layer-by-layer checks you need Photoshop or a free alternative such as Photopea.
It says there is no composite image.+
The file was saved with Photoshop's 'Maximize Compatibility' option off. Turn it on and save again from Photoshop and the file will open.
Can I convert PSD to JPEG?+
Yes. The Image Convert tool reads the composite the same way and lets you download JPEG, PNG, or WebP — several files at once.
