How to use it
- 1Select or drop the PDF.
- 2Pick shapes, arrows, checks, pencil, highlighter, text, or image from the toolbar and mark the page. Undo removes mistakes.
- 3Click Save and download the new PDF with the marks baked in.
When it comes in handy
Highlight a proof from a designer or print shop and add arrows and notes with your corrections before sending it back, tick the boxes on an application form, or place a stamp image on the signature line.
It also suits underlining and annotating lecture notes, or marking up a drawing for people on site.
Tips per tool
The highlighter is translucent, so text stays readable underneath. Pencil draws freehand; shapes place a rectangle, arrow, check, or cross with one click. Text is typed where you click and can be dragged; the image tool takes a PNG such as a stamp or signature and lets you size it.
Marks on each page are kept as you move between pages, and all pages are saved together.
What saving does
Marks are drawn into the page itself, so they look the same in every viewer and don't disappear when a viewer hides annotations. The flip side is that they can't be removed separately later, so keep the original and save the result as a new file.
The original text is untouched, so search and copy keep working.

This tool lays marks over the page. To overwrite or remove body text, use the PDF Text Edit tool.

How do I add a signature?+
