When it comes in handy
Joining a lecture, meeting, or interview recorded in several parts into one file, stitching a podcast's intro, main segment, and outro, or combining voice memos in date order for storage.
Recordings from different apps and devices in different formats go straight in; no conversion beforehand.
Why mixed formats work
To join audio, every segment must share the same sample rate and channel count. This tool first converts each file to 44.1 kHz stereo and then joins them, so MP3 with WAV or 48 kHz with 44.1 kHz is no problem.
The output is always MP3. If you need lossless, a WAV/FLAC editor is the right tool from the start rather than re-converting the result.
Levels and joins
If the recordings have different volumes, the difference remains in the joined file. Level them first with the Audio Equalizer or an editor for a natural result.
There is no option to insert silence or fades at the joins, so trim unwanted silence at the start and end of each file with Audio Trim beforehand.
