Supported formats · Text

Generate a strong password with a cryptographically secure random source (crypto.getRandomValues). Choose the length and character types (lowercase, uppercase, digits, symbols), it leaves out easily confused characters, and nothing is stored or sent.

How to use it

  1. 1Set the length and choose which character types to include.
  2. 2Check the generated password.
  3. 3Copy it and use it.

When it comes in handy

For example, it helps when you're creating a new account and need a random password that's hard to guess.

It's also good for quickly making a Wi-Fi password or a temporary access string.

Secure and mistake-free

It uses the browser's cryptographically secure random generator to make passwords hard to predict. It always includes at least one character from each selected type and leaves out confusable characters like l, I, O, 0, and 1 to reduce mistakes when copying.

Frequently asked questions

Is the generated password stored?+

No. Generation runs only inside your browser, and the password is never stored or sent.

How secure is it?+

It's made with a cryptographically secure random source, so it's very hard to guess. Still, don't reuse any password - use a different one per service.

Why leave out confusable characters?+

Leaving out look-alikes like l, I, O, 0, and 1 reduces mistakes when you copy by hand or read it aloud.
