Brush over the parts of a photo you want hidden and pixelate or blur them. Use it on faces, licence plates, and names and numbers on documents; adjust brush size and strength, and undo stroke by stroke. Hidden areas are genuinely destroyed in the output, and the photo never leaves your device.
How to use it
- 1Drop or select an image.
- 2Choose Pixelate or Blur, set brush size and strength, and brush over the area. Undo removes strokes one at a time.
- 3Download in the same format as the original.
When it comes in handy
Hiding other people's faces in a group photo before posting, blanking a licence plate in a parking photo, or obscuring names and numbers on a contract, bank book, or ID before sharing.
Covering the address and phone number on a shipping label photo for a marketplace listing is another common use.
Pixelate or blur, and how strong
Pixelate turns the area into large blocks and makes it obvious something was hidden; blur softens it and disturbs the photo less. For text and digits, raise the strength until strokes are indistinguishable; a light blur can sometimes still be read when enlarged.
Make the brush a little bigger than the target so no edge is left uncovered.
Is it really irreversible?
The pixels in the hidden area are replaced in the output, so there is no data left to restore. Undo works only before saving, so name the saved file so it can't be confused with the original.
Capture data inside the photo (EXIF, location) is not touched by this tool. For public posting, remove it separately with the EXIF Viewer.

Both are safe at sufficient strength. Use a strong setting on text and digits; a light blur may still be readable when enlarged.
Is location data removed too?+
No. This tool only changes pixels. Remove capture location and similar data with the EXIF Viewer.
