FileKeeps

Terms of Service

Effective: September 14, 2026

These terms govern the use of FileKeeps (filekeeps.com, the 'Service'), operated by NCTOO Inc. (the 'Company'). By using the Service you agree to these terms.

1. What the Service provides

The Service offers free tools that process document, PDF, image, audio, and video files inside your browser, together with related how-to articles. Unless stated otherwise, files are not transmitted to or stored on the Company's servers. In a few features, only when you turn on the 'high-quality hybrid' option yourself, the relevant data is sent temporarily for processing, as described in the privacy policy.

The Company may change or discontinue all or part of the Service without prior notice. No compensation is provided for changes to or discontinuation of a free service.

2. Accounts and fees

The Service can be used without an account and free of charge. Advertising may be displayed to support operation. Administrative features are for the Company's internal use and are not offered to users.

3. Your responsibilities

You must hold the necessary rights to the files you process. Do not process files containing others' copyrighted works, personal data, or trade secrets without authorization, and do not use features such as watermark or password removal to infringe on others' rights.

You must not: send excessive automated requests that interfere with operation of the Service; copy or redistribute the Service's code or content without permission; or use the Service in violation of applicable law or public order.

You are responsible for keeping your output files. The Service does not store results, so downloaded files must be managed by you.

4. Disclaimer of warranties and limitation of liability

The Service is provided 'as is'. The Company does not warrant that tool output will suit your particular purpose or be free of errors. For example, the quality of compressed or converted files, the display accuracy of document viewers, and the success of recovery tools depend on the file and your device.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Company is not liable for data loss, loss of business, or indirect or incidental damages arising from use of or inability to use the Service, except for damages caused by the Company's willful misconduct or gross negligence.

Keep a copy of important originals before processing. The tools create new files rather than modifying originals, but unexpected errors due to device conditions cannot be entirely ruled out.

5. Intellectual property

Rights to the Service's software, design, guides, and other content belong to the Company or the respective rights holders. The Service uses open-source software such as qpdf, pdf.js, and ffmpeg under their respective licenses.

Rights to the files you process and the resulting output remain yours. The Company claims no rights to your files.

6. Advertising and third-party services

Third-party advertising such as Google AdSense may appear on the Service. The Company does not control ad content or advertisers' sites; cookies used for advertising are described in the privacy policy. External sites and programs mentioned in guides are for reference and are not endorsed by the Company.

7. Changes to these terms

The Company may change these terms when necessary and will post the revised terms on this page with the effective date. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

8. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Disputes arising from use of the Service fall under the jurisdiction of the court having authority over the Company's head office as the court of first instance. These terms are written in Korean; if a translation differs from the Korean text, the Korean text prevails.

9. Contact

Questions about these terms can be sent to the email on the contact page.
