"Fast" vs "Precise" — when to use which
Fast cuts without rebuilding the video: zero quality loss and done in seconds, but the cut snaps to the video's internal reference points (keyframes), so the start can drift by a couple of seconds. Precise cuts exactly on the frame, at the cost of re-encoding the section, which takes longer. Roughly chopping ends off? Fast. Must start on an exact moment? Precise.
