How to Add a Stamp to a PDF — Make a Seal Image and Place It Where You Need

When a quote, invoice, or consent form has to go out as a PDF with a stamp on it, you can place a stamp image in the browser and save instead of printing, stamping, and scanning. No stamp? Make one from a name. The document never goes to a server.

Step 1 — prepare the stamp image

• •No stamp yet: enter a name (Korean or Chinese characters) in Stamp Maker to get a round or square seal as a transparent PNG, with six typefaces, ink colors, and a hand-stamped texture.
• •You have a real stamp: press it on white paper, photograph it, and make the white background transparent with Background Remover — a leftover background would cover the document text.

Step 2 — place it on the PDF

1. 1Open PDF Sign and drop in the PDF.
2. 2In the signature box choose Upload image and pick the stamp PNG from step 1.
3. 3Choose the page and drag the stamp into position in the preview; resize by the corner (real seals are usually 12–18 mm — matching the height of the name text looks natural on screen).
4. 4Click Save to download the new PDF with the stamp embedded.

Stamping several pages

To stamp the same spot on every page, switch pages and place it in the same position each time. A true page-seam seal (across the fold of two pages) can't be made this way — each page gets its own stamp.

How this differs from a registered seal

A stamp added this way is a picture of a seal. It has nothing to do with government seal registration or a seal certificate, and it isn't a digital signature that proves the signer. Use it where a stamp image is customary — invoices, quotes, internal approvals — and check with the other party for contracts that require a registered seal.
